It fills me with such joy and a deep sense of purpose to witness people go through profound transformation over the course of just a few days.

And because I get to work alongside some of the best, kindest humans I’ve ever met.

Because I know from my own experience that there’s an entire universe within us, filled with the most exquisite qualities — and I’d love everyone to find their way to it.

Because the world needs more people who’ve dared to crack open their hearts.

They’ve given me unforgettable, unequivocal, first-hand experiences of some of the core concepts of my Buddhist path — and many spiritual traditions.

They’ve shown me, or reminded me, what it means to be human.

They cut through the bullshit.

They’ve opened my eyes even wider to natural beauty, to patterns, to the mystery.

They’ve helped me not lose touch with playfulness — with joy, with being silly, being creative.

They’ve given me some of my fondest, most precious memories of time with friends.

They’ve helped me drop deeper and deeper into the universe within.

They’ve helped me be more honest — with myself, and with others.

They’ve given me a taste of what real connection feels like.

Mainly, I wish everyone would spend as many hours as they’ve spent in school, university, at work, or reading books practicing meditation, becoming familiar with the inner workings of their own mind, and opening their hearts.

There’s nothing you can experience that your body/being cannot process. Everything that arises is but the manifestation of your own inner universe — there is literally no thing to fear. Openness, softness is our greatest strength.

I’m moved by the moments when something meaningful opens up inside someone, when we come closer to the truth of who we are or touch something tender that’s been waiting to be seen.

I believe that enhanced states of consciousness, such as those catalysed by psilocybin, can help us meet those parts of ourselves with more honesty and compassion. It’s a privilege to support people as they explore the deeper layers of their inner world. For me, this work feels transformational and sacred, and I do my best to meet it with gentleness, humility and care.

Psychedelic medicines have helped me connect more deeply with myself and allowed me to gain insights into both the challenges and the beauty of my life experience.

These journeys have opened up a greater understanding of my relationship with the natural world, with others and with myself. They’ve been powerful teachers but part of a broader path that includes many healing modalities. I’m deeply grateful for how they’ve supported my growth and capacity to live this weird and wonderful life.

Where possible, give yourself time to slow down in the day or two before the retreat. Create space to reflect on what has drawn you to this experience, what you appreciate about your life as it is now and where you feel a longing for change.

Practices like meditation, journaling, walking in nature or simply doing whatever helps you feel grounded and present can be supportive. Most importantly, try not to place pressure on yourself to achieve anything. Instead, focus on arriving feeling resourced, rested and open to whatever the journey may bring.

Psychedelics have been a part of my life for over 20 years and I have a deep trust in working with them, alongside other practices and therapy.

Psychedelics have been an allie for me, helping me lower my own mask & armour, allowing me to meet the world with more presence, openness and experience deeper connection and meaning in my life. They have brought me to life long friendships and experiences that have shaped me, that I’ll always remember.

Alongside therapy, they have helped me shift deeply rooted destructive belief systems and heal significant trauma. They have helped me develop a deeper, more loving relationship with my body. They have opened my eyes to see even more beauty in the world and deepen my connection with nature. They help me process my feelings, express creatively and release cathartically. I am more free and more myself because of this ongoing journey and relationship.

I feel inspired by the energy of transformation, of being witness to and changed by the uniqueness, vulnerability and bravery of everyone who comes on retreat. Each retreat offers a new glimpse of what and how we can know.

In a really gentle and sustained way actually. They helped me feel more allowing of everything that is, and reminded me of my place amongst the web of living things. They helped me meet and process some of the deepest grief in my life.

But more than anything, they invited a humility about what the mind can cognitively know, which as an academic is much needed medicine! This made way for a sense of awe and reverence that alongside somatic practices and dharma, has broadened and softened my everyday experience.
