The Dharma retreat brings together three of the most powerful tools and practices we know.

Psychedelics, dharma, and therapy.

Each is powerful on its own.

But together? Magic.

What is the dharma Retreat?

This retreat brings together Buddhist wisdom and meditation, psychedelic therapy, and transpersonal psychology to help you explore life’s biggest questions — not just as concepts, but as direct experiences.

What it is

Here’s the thing about Dharma: it’s not a spiritual philosophy that tells you what to believe.

It’s more like a field guide to consciousness. A set of ideas and practices that you need to explore for yourself, to find out what’s true for you. We’ve created the Dharma retreat to give you a way to explore some of these ideas — not just as intellectual concepts, but as a lived experience.

This is your chance to:

Turn down the noise and get clear about what really matters

Experience a psychedelic journey through a Buddhist or spiritual lens

Explore Buddhist teachings with advanced practitioners

Find a path that feels true for you

This is more than just a trip

It’s a full six-week journey designed for deep, lasting change.

Wondering what exactly you'll experience at an Alalaho retreat? Here’s a look at what you can expect.

Jennifer Tessler
Founder & Lead
Leading the Dharma retreat team is Alalaho’s Founder, Jennifer Tessler, who brings years of experience across all three areas

From her 15+ year relationship with Tibetan Buddhism* (including multiple 50-day solitary silent retreats), through her own psychedelic exploration and experience guiding hundreds of psychedelic journeys, to her work as a transpersonal psychotherapist.

*If you’re a true Buddhism nerd who wants to know more about Jen’s lineage, here’s the lowdown: She’s been practicing Vajrayana Buddhism & Dzogchen, studying under the close guidance of her Tibetan root teacher for over 15 years.

“This retreat hits the sweet spot between disciplined practice and a psychedelic stretch.”

It seemed to meet everyone where they were — not too tight, not too loose. Jen's Dharma talks (and they were Dharma talks, well and truly) were one of the best parts.  My relationship with the dharma had felt stale, but this retreat revitalised it.
