You’ve read the articles, watched the documentaries, and listened to the podcasts.
You know how much potential psychedelics have for healing.
For you and for your patients or clients.
This is your chance to not just know it, but to experience it to the depths of your being.

This isn't a clinical training. It's a chance to experience the full depth and power of this work yourself — in nature, in community, with plenty of space to integrate whatever comes up.
This is your chance to:
Explore psychedelics first-hand, from preparation through dosing and integration

Learn from experienced psychedelic therapists who bridge clinical and ceremonial spaces

Connect with a community of other practitioners who are interested in this work

Take time and space for your own deep healing and growth

We created this retreat because we kept hearing the same thing from practitioners: "Theory isn’t enough, I need to experience it for myself. I need to understand this work from both sides.”
While you will definitely be learning about psychedelic therapy through this experience, you will also be going through your own personal process — with all of the mystery and magic that entails.

This isn’t just a trip — it’s a full six-week journey designed for deep, lasting change.

The Dharma retreat brings together three of the most powerful tools and practices we know.
Psychedelics, Dharma and therapy.
Each is powerful on its own — but together? Magic.

The way I see the world has changed —profoundly and without exaggeration. More people should experience this.
This retreat brings together Buddhist wisdom and meditation, psychedelics, and transpersonal psychology to help you explore life’s biggest questions—not just as concepts, but as direct experiences.
This is your chance to:
Turn down the noise and get clear about what really matters

Experience a psychedelic journey through a Buddhist or spiritual lens

Explore Buddhist teachings with advanced practitioners

Find a path that feels true for you

Or maybe you’re coming from the other direction: you’ve found something meaningful through meditation and Buddhism, and you’re wondering what might open up with psychedelics.
Either way, this is your chance to explore them, together.

Dharma & meditation, Transpersonal psychology, Psycho-spiritual integration & growth
It fills me with such joy and a deep sense of purpose to witness people go through profound transformation over the course of just a few days.
And because I get to work alongside some of the best, kindest humans I’ve ever met.
Because I know from my own experience that there’s an entire universe within us, filled with the most exquisite qualities — and I’d love everyone to find their way to it.
Because the world needs more people who’ve dared to crack open their hearts.
They’ve given me unforgettable, unequivocal, first-hand experiences of some of the core concepts of my Buddhist path — and many spiritual traditions.
They’ve shown me, or reminded me, what it means to be human.
They cut through the bullshit.
They’ve opened my eyes even wider to natural beauty, to patterns, to the mystery.
They’ve helped me not lose touch with playfulness — with joy, with being silly, being creative.
They’ve given me some of my fondest, most precious memories of time with friends.
They’ve helped me drop deeper and deeper into the universe within.
They’ve helped me be more honest — with myself, and with others.
They’ve given me a taste of what real connection feels like.
Mainly, I wish everyone would spend as many hours as they’ve spent in school, university, at work, or reading books practicing meditation, becoming familiar with the inner workings of their own mind, and opening their hearts.
There’s nothing you can experience that your body/being cannot process. Everything that arises is but the manifestation of your own inner universe — there is literally no thing to fear. Openness, softness is our greatest strength.

I’m moved by the moments when something meaningful opens up inside someone, when we come closer to the truth of who we are or touch something tender that’s been waiting to be seen.
I believe that enhanced states of consciousness, such as those catalysed by psilocybin, can help us meet those parts of ourselves with more honesty and compassion. It’s a privilege to support people as they explore the deeper layers of their inner world. For me, this work feels transformational and sacred, and I do my best to meet it with gentleness, humility and care.
Psychedelic medicines have helped me connect more deeply with myself and allowed me to gain insights into both the challenges and the beauty of my life experience.
These journeys have opened up a greater understanding of my relationship with the natural world, with others and with myself. They’ve been powerful teachers but part of a broader path that includes many healing modalities. I’m deeply grateful for how they’ve supported my growth and capacity to live this weird and wonderful life.
Sacred Knowledge - Psychedelics and Religious Experiences by William A. Richards
Where possible, give yourself time to slow down in the day or two before the retreat. Create space to reflect on what has drawn you to this experience, what you appreciate about your life as it is now and where you feel a longing for change.
Practices like meditation, journaling, walking in nature or simply doing whatever helps you feel grounded and present can be supportive. Most importantly, try not to place pressure on yourself to achieve anything. Instead, focus on arriving feeling resourced, rested and open to whatever the journey may bring.

Witnessing and holding space for people to deep dive, unmask and build bridges within themselves and without, is a real honour, deeply moving and contributes to my own inner and relational journey of life. I am reminded each session/ceremony of the exquisite and excruciating beauty of being human and the magic of the natural and more-than-human world.
Also, in bringing all of my interests/loves together in one place - people, plants and fungi, culture, psychology, consciousness, music, ritual and spirituality - it really doesn’t feel like work at all.
Psychedelics reawakened awe and wonder in my life. They helped me nurture a reverence for the mystery, the planet and bodies we inhabit, and a curiosity that doesn’t have to find an answer. They also allowed me to have an embodied sense and knowing of our interbeing - of being woven into a larger web of life, inseparable from one another, the world around us and the worlds and realities beyond that.
They fueled my curiosity of outer and inner realms- initiating me into the deeper layers of consciousness. Through these experiences, I began to notice the places within where trauma had left its mark, where wounds had frozen energy in my body and where parts of me had got lost. Psychedelics did not “fix” me, but they gave me a map of the territory and the courage and faith to walk its many paths, slowly weaving together meaningful threads that catalysed changes and healing.
Psychedelics introduced me to people, places and practices in the world, thoughts and relationships that I am deeply grateful for. They shook things up, disrupted, opened, and allowed new patterns, connections and meaning to emerge.
Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer
Give yourself time before to prepare for the experience, and time afterwards to be with the experience.
Do anything that will amplify or allow windows into the unconscious - paying attention to dreams, images, signs and portents - meaningful coincidences, unexpected emotions, or symbols that repeat. It can also be helpful to practice grounding techniques such as breathing and mindfulness practices so they are familiar to you when you arrive on the retreat.

Transpersonal Psychology, Trauma & Loss, Somatic Experience, Somatic EMDR
Honestly? After my first retreat completely turned my world upside down (in the best way), I couldn't unsee the potential.
But what really got me was this one facilitator who somehow knew exactly when I needed support without me having to ask — which is massive for me because I'm terrible at asking for help. They held space in a way that let me experience something I'd been missing my whole life. As a therapist, I've seen how long it can take to shift deep patterns, but psychedelics just... cut through all the noise sometimes.
Plus, I'm a bit obsessed with how disconnected we've all become — scrolling instead of talking, living in our heads instead of our bodies.
This work brings people back to themselves and each other, and honestly, the world needs more of that right now.
Before working with plant medicines, I was trapped in old patterns of relating that stemmed from childhood. I moved through the world with familiar defences, following beliefs that no longer served me. The medicines showed me how to access my own inner wisdom instead of just reacting from old wounds.
I've become genuinely curious about my emotions rather than afraid of them, able to lean into discomfort rather than constantly avoiding it.
Each journey continues to inform my daily life - I'm still in therapy, still integrating, still learning. The difference is that now I have tools and perspectives I never had access to before.
Okay, two books because I can't choose.
The Body Keeps the Score — it's a bit heavy but it completely changed how I understand why I react the way I do to things. Like, why my body goes into fight-or-flight over seemingly random stuff.
And The Good Life by those Harvard researchers — it's basically decades of data proving what we probably already know deep down: relationships are everything. Both books made me go "Oh, THAT'S why the relational stuff in ceremony hit so deep." I'm that person who always lends books and then gets excited when people want to discuss them over coffee.
Don't try to be the "perfect" participant — I spent way too much energy on that my first time. Be honest about why you're really there, even if it sounds messy or selfish. Trust your gut about the people holding space - if something feels off, it probably is. Start journalling now, even if you think you're rubbish at it. Just notice stuff.
Oh, and here's the thing nobody tells you: sometimes you'll leave feeling more confused than when you arrived, and that's actually okay. I remember thinking I was "doing it wrong" because I didn't have some massive breakthrough, but the subtle shifts were actually more important. Take care of your body beforehand — sleep, decent food, maybe go hug some trees. And please don't expect it to fix everything in one go. The medicine isn't a magic eraser, it's more like... a really good torch for seeing what's actually there.

You know how powerful this work can be.
You've felt the shifts, the insights, the opening.
But you also know that you've only just touched the surface of what's possible.
This is your chance to reconnect with the magic, and to see what else is waiting for you.

I don't subscribe to perfect, but the team at my first Returners retreat achieved just that. You felt the experience, the hard won wisdom both in the group, the facilitators and the whole programme. It was everything I hoped for and more.
Everything that made your first experience so magical will still be there: the soul-deep connections, the beautiful natural setting, and the gorgeous food. The difference is that you’re different now. You already know the terrain, and that changes everything.
If you’ve been feeling the pull to come back to Alalaho, this is your chance to:
Experience how multiple journeys build on each other, bringing greater clarity and insight

Move through ongoing challenges with fresh perspectives and new tools

Receive deeper support with one-on-one guidance and small group sessions

Expand your meditation and self-exploration practices through specialised integration workshops

The Returners programme will will follow a similar flow to our Core retreat, but is designed to help you go even deeper.

As Europe's first legal psychedelic retreat, we've guided over 1,300 people through transformative experiences since we were founded in 2016.
This isn't just about the psychedelic experience — our structured six-week program ensures real, lasting changes.
Time and again, people tell us they were nervous about the group aspect of the retreat — but then it becomes one of the most meaningful parts of the experience.
Chose your retreat dates and room, and put down a €300 deposit* to save your spot.
*If there’s a health reason we can’t take your booking, we’ll refund your deposit in full
Fill out our health form and set up a call with one of our therapists to make sure now’s the right time for you to join us.
Once you send your final payment, we’ll share everything you need to know to get started on your journey.

This is your chance to see what is waiting for you when you step through that door again.

Transpersonal Psychology, Psycho-Spiritual approaches to Addiction Recovery, Insight Meditation, Holistic Perspectives on Mental Health, Psychedelic Integration, Nature Connection

Transpersonal and Depth Psychology, Ethnobotany, Biocultural Diversity

A hidden oasis in the wild beauty of southeastern Spain.
A lush eco-sanctuary surrounded by mountains, right by the Mediterranean.
Swimming pools, palm trees, and a hammock for lounging.
Welcome to Alalaho, the perfect setting for a safe, supported, and completely transformational psychedelic experience.

Over three days, I experienced the kind of transformation I could only dream of through a lifetime of therapy. I wish everyone I know could attend.
You’ll embark on a full six-week programme of transformation, with a five-day retreat and guided psilocybin journey at the heart of things.
If any of these resonate with you, you're probably in the right place:
You're stuck in patterns you can't seem to shift, no matter how much you understand them intellectually

You feel like you've hit a wall with therapy, and it feels like there's something underneath that you just can't touch

You're craving real connection — with yourself, with others, and maybe even with something bigger than all of us

You're interested in how psychedelics can help, but you want to make sure you're in a setting that's professional and safe

This isn’t just a trip—it’s a full six-week journey designed for deep, lasting change.

A serene, natural setting in the Netherlands’ lush countryside.
A wood-fired sauna with a lake to dive into when you need to cool off.
A ceremony room with panoramic windows that feels like you’re right there suspended in nature.
