Five prompts to reflect on

December 27, 2025
Tools & Practices

As 2025 winds down, and we find ourselves in these in-between days (in between holidays, in between action items…) you're likely to have all kinds of things coming up.

This time of year can be really festive and celebratory and joyful.

It can also be really hard.

And it can be both.

These times of transition, like the end of one year and the start of another, act as little portals. They naturally invite reflection. And depending on how your year has gone, and what your life looks like now, that can also feel celebratory and joyful, or really hard, or both.

Our brains are naturally hardwired to focus on the negative. To notice what didn't go well, or what you'd like to improve. But regardless of what's happening, there's always some gold (whether it's obvious or if it needs a little digging to find it).

So I thought I'd share a little practice with you as we head towards 2026, to help you connect with a little bit of that joy and light as you reflect on where you've been and where you're going.

So grab a notebook and a pen (or your notes app, although I always recommend writing by hand if you can), and reflect on these five prompts:

  1. Three things I've loved about my year
  2. Three ways in which I've grown this year
  3. Three things that surprised me this year
  4. Three wishes for next year
  5. Three wishes for the world

I hope these prompts help you connect to your own gold. And I thought it would also be nice to take a moment, zoom out, and have a more cosmic outlook by sending your wishes to this crazy world we live in. 💛

Sending you love and cosiness and plenty of little treats for the days ahead,
